I picked up two of these on a whim while shopping. After losing countless travel mugs, we switched (yes, with guilt) to styrofoam for morning coffee or tea on-the-go. (Ironically, considering these would be easier to lose than a travel mug, they always seem to find their way home.) We have 20 ounce cups...I put the empty cup upside-down on the counter and slide the handle up to the ridge at the top of the cup (if I hold the cup in my hand and push it tends to bend sometimes so I just found this to be easiest and fastest). Not only does it make the cup easier to hold, but it makes it much more sturdy. I haven't tried it on paper yet, but it seems like it would work fine. It has a slit in one side, opposite the handle, to allow for a little expansion and a snug fit. The only drawback is that the handle is fairly heavy for an empty cup, so I have to be careful (I put the sugar in before the coffee) not to tip the cup. Not a big deal. I would recommend this for disposable cups, and maybe even for travel cups that have no handle or fast food soda cups.
